Career & Technical Education (CTE)
Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs prepare students for success through practical, hands-on learning and community partnerships.
Here’s how:
Practical Learning: Students gain real-world skills and earn industry-recognized credentials.
Community Partnerships: We collaborate with local businesses to provide job-based experiences.
State-of-the-Art Resources: Specialized facilities and tools reflect industry standards.
Inclusive Opportunities: Our programs support all learners in achieving their goals.
Leadership Development: Students grow as leaders, ready to thrive in college and careers.
Bluejacket AMP
Bluejacket Advanced Manufacturing Program at CIHS will introduce our students to in-demand career opportunities in advanced manufacturing while building marketable skills and competencies in the workplace. The program focuses on partnerships between local employers and CIHS to increase awareness of high growth, high demand career opportunities in manufacturing. The project will expose students to manufacturing careers through industry tours and career spotlight events. Interested students will enroll in the Bluejacket AMP internship class where they attend weekly seminar classes, complete OSHA 10 Certification and work at a paid internship.
Building strong business partnerships is vital to ensure students are receiving a true learning experience and supportive supervision on the job. Through Bluejacket AMP, manufacturing employers will be a part of a collaborative group and receive training and mentoring from The Repurposed Educators (RE).
CIHS received a grant from the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry Youth Skills Training Program to support Bluejacket AMP.
